About Gurgaon

Gurgaon is a city in state of Haryana and is a part of Delhi - National Capital Region (NCR). It has become a leading financial and industrial hub with the third highest per capita income in India. Gurgaon is center for more than 250 Fortune-500 companies and city's economic growth story started when the leading Indian automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited established a manufacturing plant in here in the 1970s. Gurgaon was historically ruled over by Rajputs of Yaduvansi or Jadaun tribe. They were defeated by Muhammad of Ghor in 1196, but for two centuries they sturdily resisted the Muhammadian domination. This was followed by the invasion of Timur and the land was ruled by Khanzadas. It was then annexed by Babur and then Humayun toAkbar. After the Mughal Empire's decline it came under the British rule.

Gurgaon experiences four distinct seasons - spring (February - March), summer (April - September), fall/autumn (October) and winter (November - January), along with the monsoon season setting in towards the later half of the summer. Summers are very hot with an average daily high temperature of 40 ℃ (104 ℉). Winters are cold and foggy with few sunny days, and with a daytime average of 3 ℃ (37 ℉). Winters chill can be furthered by mild rains. Spring and autumn are mild and pleasant seasons with low humidity. The monsoon season usually starts in the first week of July and continues till August.

  • Ziplining - A zip line is made of a pulley suspended to a stainless steel wire. It allows the person fastened to the pulley to zip from one end to the other by gravity.
  • Zorbing - Two people get inside the Zorb (sort of a big ball), they are harnessed together and then the ball is rolled. This sport requires minimum skill and any one can enjoy the sport.

Sanskriti Kendra Museum is a set of three museums featuring Indian Terracotta and Textile housed within Sanskriti Kendra complex, Anandgram, an artist village complex, spread over eight acres in South Delhi on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road.

Sheetaladevi temple

The most famous and visited temples in Gurgaon is Sheetala Devi temple. The temple witnesses a lot of pilgrims during the month of Chitra, especially Mondays, as they are considered very auspicious. The infrastructure of the temple is commendable. There is no entry fee to visit the temple.

Ambience mall has stores of all leading Indian and foreign brands. Each floor is a kilometer long. The mall also has a food court and a bowling Alley named Blu-O.
